Hail Damage Repair

That said, there are certainly cases where the extent of the hail damage is beyond what can be practically fixed in a driveway. A trip to a body shop is the only way forward in those situations. Car dents bother every car owner. Working on the car can be dangerous if you’re naive in this background. Once you know all the techniques and procedures, repairing a car will be easy for you. A car dent looks like a bump initially, but it can damage the rest of the car’s body if it remains unattended for a long time.
A car dent removes paint and exposes the metal body to outer moisture and dust. Long-term exposure to the water can lead to rusting of the metal body. In addition, some dents might affect some vulnerable parts of the engine.
Door Dings
No matter how zealously you care for your car or truck, any time it’s out in public there’s a risk it’s going to suffer a dent or ding. A distracted driver poking at his or her phone bumps it from behind at a light. An inattentive parker brushes against it in the grocery-store lot. A kid bumps it with a shopping cart. Someone opens their car door into yours in a tight parking spot. Or maybe you—nah, we won’t go there. Suffice it to say that these battle scars are a frustrating fact of auto-ownership life.
However, if you’re willing to give it a try, in many cases you can fix your car’s dents quite effectively yourself using some not very expensive dent-removal tools.
Trolley Dents
It’s rude enough when people don’t put their shopping carts back in the corral, but when they somehow dent your vehicle with them, well, that’s downright uncouth! Plus, if your vehicle comes with ADAS technologies, such as lane departure or forward collision warnings, you can’t just go anywhere to have your shopping cart dent repaired; when you have a higher-end car, simple dents from the grocery store parking lot become a lot more complicated.
What stinks about shopping cart dents: you can’t point a finger at the person who did it, and the business itself generally isn’t responsible (obviously). This makes things a little tricky when it comes to getting insurance involved.
Crease/scratch Repair
If we can access the area behind the dent, we can often massage out the dent with the Paintless Dent Repair process. The best thing about PDR is that we do not need to add body filler, need to repaint, or even disturb your vehicle’s factory paint during the repair process. Because of this, PDR is also far less time consuming than the traditional dent repair process where a body panel is sanded down, body filler is added, and the panel is repainted.

Repairable Write-off Repairs
A car is deemed a repairable write-off if it has been damaged such that its salvage value, plus the cost to repair it, exceeds its market value. An older car could be considered a write-off even with relatively minor damage, simply because the cost to repair it is greater than what it’s worth in the used car market.
Bonnet Dent repairs

If the dent is creased, it means that it may not be able to repair with PDR. Although there are many skilled PDR technicians in the world, creases make it difficult to restore the body panel to its regular shape. A good example of dent complexity and how creasing affects the dent repair process is squeezing a pop can or pop bottle.

PDR technicians are trained to look for stress cracks and other signs that the damage may have exceeded the paint’s elastic limit before repairing your vehicle. If the paint is showing signs of cracking, your panel will need to be repainted, and the traditional dent repair process will be needed. It’ll be time to head to an auto body repair shop for that dent!
Collisions are often the cause of small dents. We all know that accidents happen and that vehicles bump into each other sometimes. If you see a small dent on your bumper, door, fender, or another body panel on your vehicle, it could have been caused by another vehicle bumping into it.
